Teach your dog the site up or beg trick

A familiar and probably most famous dog trick is to sit up beg.

A young puppy should not taught this trick given the fact that his back muscles are still not mature. You should wait until the puppy is no less than eight months old. It’s much easier to teach that trick in a corner. Say to your dog to sit and to remain in place with his back near the corner. Have his leash and collar on him in case he makes an effort to run away. Ascertain the leash is has some slack and then step on the leash to restrain him. Elevate his forelegs up with your hands, give the order to sit up and then lay his forelegs in your hand or on your left arm and dangle a favorite treat in front of his nose using your available hand.

The corner walls will allow him to stay straight. Reward him using the food and the duplicate the exercise some more times. When you believe he’s ready, redo the exercise, but now take your hand or left arm away while still dangling the treat in front of his nose and reiterating the order.

After some time he will be sitting up without help! Do it over and over and over again! In time you’ll be able to have him site and beg in the middle of your living room!
